What is an Irish Study Visa?
The Irish Study Visa is designed for non-EEA nationals who wish to undertake full-time education in Ireland. Most students apply for the Long Stay ‘D’ Visa, which allows them to stay in the country for more than 90 days. With this visa, you can attend approved educational institutions and may be allowed to work part-time (up to 20 hours per week during term time and 40 hours during holidays).
If you are an EU/EEA or Swiss national, you do not require a visa to study in Ireland. You can enter the country freely and begin your studies without prior permission.
